The forgotten Seekers

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.

Aliz's notes.

These are our enemies.

Human, Gryphon, Canis. They call themselves ‘The Iron Swords’

They headed west from Summerset and didn’t return to Summerset, so must have carried on west through the Windfell woods.

We met some friends.

Sonen Kovash: Saurial. Good guy.
Rodan Nord: Alchemist. He has offered us lots of gold to get him a Dragon Scale. Yapkin thinks this is a bad thing to do, but we of scales shed them all the time. it is of no more note than a claw clipping to me. Still, best make sure all are good with this. We may need gold for revenge.

Vulivkren: The Dragon who cut out Felnuvek’s Silvah. No scales.

Korelian: My birth-clan was the Clan of Gorix, once servants to the great dragon Zarilantar, the Betrayer.

We are to go to Gorix and seek out what happened to Zarilantar

Someday, we need to go retrieve the silvah from the sky island.

Korelian's Theory
Seeking, but not forgotten

Korel has made some deductions.

The Iron Swords had one of their number cursed with magic that had transformed him – or her – into a gryphonic shape; they went to meet Rodan NordIn their efforts to cure their companion. He was unable to help them, but paid them to use their gryphon to explore the Upper Realm for him.

They went to do so; and, presumably, learned that they could acquire a dragon’s Silvah and take power from it, for themselves or another.

Korel is willing to bet that a true dragon, probably Vulivkren, met them there and offered them a cure for the curse if they did this one task for him/her/them. Probably to humiliate Felnuvek – mere little humans and similar weak things stole her SIlvah, ha ha! etc etc.

Then the bargain wasn’t kept, hence the gryphon’s remorse and returning the sword to Dras.

It also explains the earlier noted discrepancy of timings; Rodan said they had left Summerset a week before the attack, but it’s only a day’s travel to the Skyfire holdings.

So, ironically, this is all Rodan’s fault – though to be fair to him, he had no idea what events would follow.

However, Felnuvek is less concerned by this than the fate of Zarilantar, the dragon who was/is her mate who vanished many years ago. Korelian ‘No-Clan’ is now revealed as an ex-member of Clan Gorix, far to the north, and has a tale to tell of how Zarilantar “The Betrayer” abandoned the Clan and let them starve, nearly to death; Felnuvek says this is not something her mate would do, and wants us to find out what happened to him – BEFORE finding her Silvah.

Dragons reward their servants well… yet despite his earlier eagerness, Korel does not seem pleased at the prospect of going ‘home’.

Baan Arkdramelech

Baan Arkdramelech

Baan Arkdramelech, known as the Bane of the Dragons is Lawful Neutral. His favoured weapon are Claws (Longsword). His domains : Law, Destruction, Liberation, Travel, War.
- History

Baan Arkdramelech was a dragon before. He despise how bad the dragons treat the other “lesser” races. The non-dragons might not have been gifted with strong magical essence, but it doesn’t mean that they had to be bullied by arrogant dragon kin. He lead numerous war against his kind, leading to lose the favours of Bahamut. That didn’t prevent him to increase his power and influence, leading him to Godhood.
- Relationship

Baan consider the dragon kin as enemies, except for the ones who are oppressed but them such as kobolds. The other dragon gods, such as Bahamut and Tiamat, count as enemies.
- Appearance and Emissaries

Baan manifest as an hybrid between an humanoid and a dragon partially ethereal wearing a mask made of orichalcum where the ashes of his fallen enemies continue to drop.

- Servants

Baan have a champion : a dragonborn who did turn against his kind. Now he’s spreading the “Words of Baan” to the oppressed he met.
- Church of Baan Arkdramelech

The church, like his clerics, are rare. His cult became taboo in this world, since major settlement tends to be influenced by dragon who do fear him. Their followers are often hunt down by clerics of others cults.

- Holy Texts
The principal holy text is the “Words of Baan”.

This world need to be purged of his oppressors. The dragon kin, my kin, are arrogant creatures that oppress the “lesser” races, the others. I can’t stand this inequity anymore. I’ve fought many of my brothers and sisters that were blinded by their arrogance. Now, it’s time for salvation. The great Baan Arkdramelech, the Bane of the dragons, is on your side. Be guided by your faith and fight the oppressor!

Adventure Log - dies Saturnī 8 Martinus
In the last episode of The Forgotten Seekers Z

The party spends 3 days before getting with the group of Marcus Roe. The party was split in 2 : Draselth, Korelian and Rob/Yapkin were in Summerset while Tik and Aliz were in a cavern nearby. Draselth was selling medical assistance while Rob/Yapkin was crafting bullet for his guns. Tik and Aliz were taking care of Mo.
When they joined Marcus’ group, they met a Canis named Kira Erdély. She did seem to accept the kobolds pretty well, while Ariis is pretty much racist against kobolds. She was insulted to be referred as a male.
The party noticed that Draselth behavior changed. He claimed that he follows a different cult. They didn’t believe him so. Draselth didn’t seem to care, he was less cheerful than before.

They traveled to the north for a while before making camp.
While everyone was going about their business, Draselth was saying a prayer to his new Lord : Baan Arkdramelech. The others kobolds seem scared and Tik punched his own brother to make him stop his madness. Draselth don’t want to help Felnuvek anymore. Actually he wants to slay her. Draselth new deity is known as the Bane of the Dragons.
There’s tension between the two brothers, now with different ideals. The party is against Draselth new ideals and say that he will get them killed.
The night pass.

The party finaly go to their destination. They meet Sonen again.
They found a giant clockwork device underground. Miners are working the whole day, trying to get this thing outside.
Draselth and Korelian did make theories that the device might contain the soul of a once living creature, and possibly a dragon.
On the day after, they did bring the device a bit more outside the earth.
It seems like the mining activities attracted unwanted visitors : Elves and Demons.

Game Log 15/3/2014

Mo is cute.

We engaged the elf mercenaries in battle. or it would be more correct to say they engaged us.

A very dangerous fight.. they had a lot of armour and it seemed like we would lose at first or would have to flee, but we managed to win using a few hero points. Tik’s helmet activated and he breathed fire on the enemies, which was a surpise. Aliz’s touch attack acid breath came in incredibly handy and she took down three weakened elves that way.

After the battle Tik had smokey breath and coughed.. seemed to have developed flame breath, and Aliz assumed that he had a bit of dragon in him like she did.. after some advice on how to manage it, he went for some time alone and everyone else looked at the mech dragon. Then after a few concerns Aliz and Krit acted as lookouts to see how Sonen’s battle was doing.. and we saw demonic activity, tree’s being tore up etc. Kore activated the dragon and Aliz went to talk to Tik. The helmet had fused and became his head and he seemed to be becoming akin to a half dragon.

After Activating the dragon it turned out to be named named Darilith, he was mistrustful but Kore made mention of trying friendship and he flew away to defeat the demon. Then returned with the three allies who were hurt, but not dead.

Darilith asked how long he was deactivated for, then asked if ‘they won’. Korelian does not know who ‘they’ are and stated he didn’t know, so Darilith asked Lapir who merely stated that the clockwork revolt was 300 years ago and was terminated.

Darilith turned out to have been an ill human who was put into the mecha body. He wondered where he could go and the party both offered him companionship and also wondered if he could go with Sonen to the mechanical land of the Saurials. Then Aliz healed Sonen back to consciousness and Yapkin bounded off to seek out his pistol.

Further adventure

At first we rested up.. Aliz prepared healing magic for the trio of wounded, she noted that the Wolf seemed fond of the human.

Then the clan discussed their plans for the journey ahead. the group leaned towards heading to Gorix with Darilith as protection. They made plans about disguising Korelian with scale dyes. Korelian also gained a letter of recommendation for the arcane college.

Afterward, Tik mentioned to Aliz and Korelian that he was spoke to by Felnuvek. It would be possible to make a wish with two silvah to resurrect the clan. They approached the others with this information, but Drasleth and Yapkin were mistrustful of this, Drasleth especially. It caused a big argument.. but eventually Drasleth decided he would turn away from the ‘Great Lord Baal’ for the good of the clan, preventing a tragic group split.

Draselth journal - dies Saturnī 22 Martinus

After a night of sleep, we found that Ariis left.

It seems that Sonen and Serra were wounded, but I don’t remember. I was taken in the heat of battle.
The anger has taken over me again, I think. They seem fine now.

Tik asked me things about how to bring back souls from the outerworld. It’s something I do know.
But Tik did seem a bit… strange… I though he would consider trading his soul for bringing back the clan.
I wasn’t completely wrong. He wanted to help Felnuvek as she apparently offer to bring back the clan in our world.
She couldn’t be trusted, but if she could bring back the clan, we had to consider her offer.
I don’t want to help her, I hate her, but I had to make a choice between my faith, my own will and the clan.

I didn’t want to make this choice, ever. I want to kill Felnuvek, make her beg for her life and bathe my sword in her blood.
But she could bring back our clan. I didn’t have the choice, I had to go against the Great Lord’s will and make my choice.
He won’t forgive me.

I lost my link with the deities. I feel emptiness, sadness and hurt in my heart.
It’s like if a part of me left when I removed my medallion. I lost my powers.
Now I’ll have to work harder than before to be a dragon slayer, eventually. At least I do have a knight armour.
Tik is happy for my new look. Same for the other ones. I don’t know for how long I’ll stand, the world is heavier now. I feel a little sick too.

I hope I’ll go well soon. I must atone…

i was thinking after me and korel went swimming that i could write stuff down sir grimwar the wise did that too and he really was the wisest of all the milkthistle knights so maybe

yapkin pointed here and said this is where im supposed to write, he’s dras said to cross that stuff out because its a waste of paper

im glad hes talking to me again and hes still the same dras deep down

i was scared he wouldnt be and that he changed and gave up all the things we swore wed always

i asked dras for help again but i didnt let him read it this time and he said that was a good word for what the knights would do

they uphold what they think is right no matter what
and anything that could help the clan has to be right

i think hes a fool to still be mad it was his own fault and i think he des erved to be punished for what he did that wasnt nice to say but i wish hed learn his lesson isntead of blame felnuvek

i know what i did was wrong why cant he

korel was right we need to talk
i shouldnt have lied like i did it was cowardly to avoid talking but i was too ashamed to admit that
well i didnt completely lie because we didnt ever need to talk like that because we never had fights before
felnuvek whispered to me that i need to just follow my heart and do what i think is right but im glad i didnt
im not always right
i didnt want to tell dras i was going to tell yap but not with dras around but liz and korelian said i had to tell the clan
of course they were right and i did it like they wanted and so i finally talked to dras
when we did i wasnt so angry at him but now im worried
he used to tell me everything but he sounded brainwashed by that god more like a daemon i think
he was hurting and i was wrong to not try to uderstand why and i also shouldnt have hit him
i need to talk to him more
ive never seen him so vicious like that night when we battled the elves

so i think felnuvek was wrong in that way because i have to listen to liz and korel
thats why im trying to write like sir grimwar so maybe i can be wiser like them

its not so hard like i thought it was going to be the words kind of keep coming on their own
maybe thats because of the helmet too she did say it would make me smarter
is it still a helmet or a head
well my head isnt a helmet its still mine even if its not
i almost dont notice now that it doesnt hurt any more
the words will be clearer soon
once we reach clan gorix i hope i they can help keep us safe
they were right about that too even the knights dont always fight to keep people safe especially sir grimwar
i need to talk to korel about that again too
and liz and yap
they dont look so sad like korelian did but they might just hide it better than him
they still like lots of hugs and that makes korel feel better
he sure does like hugs he hugged me tight all night just like he said he would
im glad that makes him happier
my hand is tired now
